Houseplant Class for the 2011 Kensington Dolls House Festival

This class is a lot of fun, four classic house plants which originate in the Victorian Era , Gloxinia, Rex Begonia, Clivia and Aspidistra.  If you let me know beforehand, these can be made in 1:12, 1:24 or 1:48 scale. They are shown below in 1:12 scale.

Gloxinia and Rex Begonia

I've made Kaiser Wilhelm as a sample for the class although lots of other varieties are possible. Kaiser Wilhelm was one of the varieties introduced at the end of tdolls house scale gloxinia and rex begonia in a pothe Victorian age and it's still going strong.  It's sharing a pot with a Rex begonia, another favorite houseplant introduced to the gardening world in the 1850's

Clivia

Clivia miniadolls house scale clivia plant in a potta is a South African plant introduced to England in the 1850's where it became a favorite Victorian houseplant.

Aspidistra

The 'Cast Iron' plant

of the Victorian Age,

Aspidistras were introduced to England in 1822.
